Community Inclusion Ambassadors Inc. makes our community more inclusive for families with special needs children and young adults. We believe all children deserve a chance to participate and thrive.
Our History: Building a Community of Support
Orange County Parents of Children with Special Needs (OCPCSN), the former name of Community Inclusion Ambassadors Inc., began in December 2014 on Facebook. Fueled by a conversation between two parents at Head Start about the challenges of finding resources for their children with special needs, OCPCSN blossomed into a safe space for families to share knowledge and navigate the complexities of raising a child with special needs.
Since then, Community Inclusion Ambassadors Inc. has built upon this foundation, expanding its reach to serve families throughout Orange, Lawrance, Washington Counties in Indiana . We've continued to empower families by providing support with IEPs, understanding special education laws, and connecting them with essential resources.
A Commitment to Inclusion
Our mission to create a more inclusive community for all remains at the heart of everything we do. Through our programs, advocacy efforts, and community outreach, we strive to:
- Break down barriers and foster a sense of belonging for individuals with special needs.
- Expand opportunities for social and educational participation.
- Educate the community about special needs and empower them to be better allies.
